Once again, Family Promise of Delaware County is throwing a bash by serving food out of vans to help local families who are living out of vans.
The second annual Food Truck Fest and Fun Fair is returning to Brookhaven on Saturday, Aug. 12, according to a Daily Times report by Peg DeGrassa. Inflatable rides, food trucks, and a flea market will highlight the festival when it sets up on the grounds of Our Lady of Charity Parish that day from 11 AM-4 PM.
All proceeds from the Food Truck Fest and Fun Fair go toward Family Promise’s mission to assist homeless children and families through the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Delaware County.
“Family Promise not only facilitates temporary (network) shelter for families who find themselves homeless, but it strives to resolve the families’ homelessness by achieving stable income, housing, and childcare, by working hand-in-hand with other agencies and resources in the community,” said Director Lorie Ackerman.
