The attention of the American horticulture world shone brightly on the Terrain Garden Center during March’s National Floriculture Forum, and the Glen Mills shop brought the inspirations of modern social trends to life in creative and practical ways.
From “Pinterest-perfect design elements” to healthy living tips and hacks, Terrain Garden Center exemplified how to promote the benefits of plants, according to a Michigan State University Extension report by Heidi Lindberg.
“Terrain Garden Center was very effective in conveying that horticulture should be a part of a hip and healthy lifestyle,” the article stated. “Individual retailers can do more to relay the importance of plants in peoples’ lives and show consumers how easy it can be to increase the use of plants through many product types.”
Tours of the garden center showcased “an exfoliation station, soaking salts for a bath, and a section devoted to superfoods, most centered or based on plants.”
