One of the more popular events among the Main Line crowd is right around the corner and set for a new venue.
Surrey Services for Seniors will host its annual Gala and Auction – “Under the Tuscan Sun” – on Saturday, May 11 at the Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne.
This prestigious event will feature lively entertainment, a delicious meal, awards, and silent and live auctions. Tickets and sponsorships are available now. Also, courtesy of Holland America, raffle tickets are available for a cruise for two for up to seven days to your choice of Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, or Canada/New England.
Surrey is a nonprofit with community centers in Devon, Broomall, East Goshen, Havertown, and Media that helps older adults live with independence and dignity and continue as engaged members of the community. It provides critical services to seniors, including home-delivered meals, transportation, in-home services, and activities at its centers.
A sponsorship of this event increases your visibility in the community and helps to support older adults in the community.
Steeped in the principle of neighbor helping neighbor, Surrey has been a pioneer in organizing a model to facilitate aging in place. With the help of more than 1,400 volunteers, Surrey touches the lives of more than 6,200 people each year.
Its annual Gala and Auction is a major fundraiser and – considering how much funding to support older adults is being cut – a necessary one. For the important work that it performs, Surrey was named the Main Line Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Nonprofit of the Year and the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry’s 2019 Nonprofit of the Year.
